Ideas For A Home Based Business – Are You Using YouTube?

Ideas for a home based business are everywhere and advice seems to be offered by everyone, but how do you know what works and what doesn’t?

Home business ideas for success typically require you to get your message out to many people, and an excellent way to do this is by using videos of YOU in your marketing efforts.

Adding YouTube to your marketing strategy is becoming a must have in your low cost lead generation efforts. It allows you to build and brand your image, let’s call it your You Inc.

When prospecting people for your home business opportunity, especially over the internet, how do you break down the trust barriers with a prospect who doesn’t know you? A website with words written effectively by someone with good copy writing skills can bring significant returns for your business. However, good copy writing is a skill that is developed over a period of time and it doesn’t allow people to CONNECT and RELATE to you quickly like a video of YOU can do.

Instead, pull out a camera and video yourself sharing your story. Share your story, interests, hobbies, and more. Share your passions, victories and frustrations as you work at home in your home based business. People who find your You Inc on the internet will see and hear you. As they hear your story, it will give them the opportunity to CONNECT and RELATE to you.

They will SEE that you are a REAL person!

This is the sweet spot you need to be in for your home business. The trust barriers will begin to come down and when a strong connection is made, the prospect will literally call you to join your network marketing opportunity.

Think about this, what would you rather do?

Would you like to convince people to join your home business or would you like prospects to call you to join your mlm company?

Here are some things to consider when adding video to your lead generation efforts:

1. Get a good webcam or small camera that takes video. You can get quality at low cost. Don’t go too cheap, but also don’t break the bank. The camera I PERSONALLY use and recommend can be found at the link below.  It fits in the palm of my hand and takes excellent video/audio for use on the internet.

2. Setup a YouTube account to easily upload your videos which will then allow you to share them on almost any website. YouTube receives some of the greatest amounts of traffic on the internet and is the first location you need to put your videos.

3. When thinking about a storyboard for each 3-5 minute video you create, be creative and vary the scenery in which you capture your videos.

Here is a home business ideas video that I did on YouTube, nothing fancy but check out the location I shot the video in…LIVE from Times Square!!!

4. Add a smile and a passionate delivery when you film your videos. You don’t need to be over the top, but have some excitement in your voice with some smiles mixed in from time to time.

When searching on the internet for ideas for a home based business be CAREFUL of who you listen to…the KEY thing to keep in mind is if the person says it doesn’t take work to be successful, RUN!  And if the home business opportunity sounds too good to be true…it probably is.

Good luck in your video production efforts for your home based business!
